Hello friends, family, and acquaintances,

On Sunday, May 25th, Nick Denis involved in a tragic accident while doing what he’s always done — working hard to provide for his family and help others. There was an unexpected propane explosion that left Nick with third-degree burns over 40% of his body. We don’t know much, and only Nick has answers; he’s unable to physically speak due to the burns and bandages and a ventilator to help him breathe and keep him comfortable.

He is currently in the Burn Unit at Bridgeport Hospital, where he will remain for the next 4–6 weeks. He’s expected to undergo around 15-20 surgeries. His recovery will be long, painful, and incredibly challenging — but if anyone has the strength to make it through, it’s Nick.

Nick has spent over two decades in the HVAC field and is truly devoted to his craft. He’s the kind of man who never hesitates to go above and beyond for his customers and loved ones. Everyone who knows him will tell you: Nick is charismatic, loyal, and full of heart. Truly the greatest guy.

He’s a husband and loving father to five amazing kids and a proud cat and dog dad. He’s the guy who shows up when you need help — no questions asked.

Now Nick needs us to show up for him, like he always has for us. We’re raising funds to help cover his rent, utilities, car payments, and other living expenses while he focuses on healing. We’re also preparing for medical costs that insurance may not fully cover. The last thing Nick should have to worry about right now is money— he needs all of his strength for recovery.
